Why book a Paris Photoshoot?

A Paris photoshoot becomes more than photographs.

It’s about confidence, joy, presence, and creating images you’ll return to for years — and decades — to come.

I know what it feels like to travel solo and wish you had someone to capture you in the moment. That’s why my photoshoots are part Paris discovery, part self‑discovery — a chance to explore the city while seeing yourself in a new way.

Paris Photoshoots for Women Travelling Solo

Many of my clients are women travelling alone to Paris — for adventure, healing, celebration, or simply because now feels important.

I’ve created a dedicated section of my website featuring real solo clients, galleries, and practical tips designed especially for solo travellers visiting Paris.

With my local knowledge and expertise, I can take you to the most iconic and photogenic locations around Paris, as well as hidden gems that are off the beaten path.

Paris Photoshoot for Couples

Paris is known as the City of Love, and for good reason.

I’ve photographed couples in Paris for years — honeymoon photoshoots, private picnics, anniversaries, Valentine’s Day getaways, and elopements.

Whether your connection is playful, romantic, or quietly intimate, your Paris couples photoshoot will reflect your relationship — not a formula.

I am dedicated to and passionate about, creating photographs that you will love.
Photos that you will treasure for years to come.

Family Photoshoots in Paris

A family photoshoot in Paris is about creating a legacy.

I’d be honoured to photograph you with your children, parents, or siblings — creating heirloom images that allow you to exist together in photos, now and for future generations.

These are the photographs your family will return to decades from now.

Why I Do This Work

I first came to Paris in 1989 with my mother.

What I wouldn’t give to have beautiful photographs of us together from that trip. That absence is part of what drives my work today.

I believe everyone deserves to exist in photographs they truly love — images that become tangible heirlooms and emotional anchors over time.

Ready to book your own Photoshoot?

FAQs

What time does a Paris photoshoot usually start?
The start time of a Paris photoshoot depends on the location, season, and light conditions.

Summer (April–September): Early mornings (around 7–8am) are best for iconic locations like the Trocadéro, as there are far fewer tourists and the light is softer.

Winter (October–March): Shoots typically start from around 9am, as sunrise is later and daylight is more limited.

If you’re not keen on early mornings or busy landmarks, later start times can work in quieter areas of Paris. We’ll always decide the ideal start time together before your shoot.

What should I wear for a Paris photoshoot?
All my Paris photoshoot packages include the option for multiple outfit changes, time permitting.

The most important rule is to wear something you feel comfortable and confident in.

In general:

Avoid very busy patterns or logos

Neutral tones, jewel colours, and soft fabrics photograph beautifully

Flowing dresses and skirts add movement, but trousers work just as well

If you book a VIP Paris photoshoot, you’ll also have access to my studio wardrobe, which includes gowns, cocktail dresses, and accessories in a range of sizes.

Tip: if you plan to wear heels, bring flats for walking — Paris streets are often cobblestoned.

Do you recommend professional hair and makeup for a Paris photoshoot?
Yes — I highly recommend it.

Professional hair and makeup help many clients feel more relaxed and confident in front of the camera. A typical hair and makeup appointment in Paris costs around €250 and takes up to 90 minutes, which we’ll factor into your shoot schedule.

I’m happy to recommend trusted professionals if you’d like assistance arranging this.

What happens if it rains during my Paris photoshoot?
Rain doesn’t automatically mean your Paris photoshoot is cancelled.

Paris offers many covered locations near the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre, and I’ve never cancelled a shoot due to rain. If it’s possible for both of us, I’m also happy to adjust the timing or reschedule.

If you’re open to it, rain can add atmosphere — umbrellas, trench coats, reflections, and moody skies often become part of the story.

November '23 was the rainiest month since I started photographing clients in Paris, and two of my shoots were in the wildest weather possible. Hannah's is one of them.

How do we get around during a Paris photoshoot?
Taxis may not always be readily available on the day of in the city. Rather than relying on UBER,  I recommend downloading the French-based Taxis G7 or hiring a private driver to accompany us throughout the photo shoot.

Having a driver can also help with quick outfit changes and staying dry if the weather turns.

When will I receive my Paris photoshoot photos?
Within 7–21 days after your Paris photoshoot, you’ll receive a private online gallery where you can select your favourite images.

Once you’ve made your selection, I’ll complete the final retouching. All shoots include light, natural retouching to keep the images timeless and true to you.

Taking my granddaughters to Paris was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and I’m so glad I found Rachel to capture this special trip with photographs. I loved the creative photos on her website and was hopeful she could work her magic with my crew. And she did! Rachel is a true artist and my family and friends were thrilled beyond belief with the beautiful photographs. Thank you Rachel!
