Marta came to Paris for a new experience and to celebrate and honor a new phase in her life. She described her portrait session with me as empowering, a step toward self-acceptance, and also self-validating. The portraits we created are beautiful souvenirs of the unique energy, style, and beauty that she was clearly radiating – and continues to radiate – as a result of this personal adventure.
Life is beautiful with all its ups and downs – take a moment to celebrate yours.
A little more about our shoot together
Marta adores le jardin du Luxembourg so we made a time and date to meet at the picturesque Médicis fountain, not too early but early enough for coffee and croissants. With a rough plan to spend some time there and walk our way through the 6th arrondissement down towards the river Seine and ending our time together on the right bank around rue de Rivoli.
That’s it. From there we followed wherever our path took us, finding inspiration on the way. Marta had shared a Pinterest board with me so I knew what to look out for on the way, and she also spotted some great backdrops like the mirrored doorway of an antique shop. The dark blue against her green dress and the light hitting the right spot created the perfect set.
When we got to rue de Rivoli we created a small commotion when two young American girls stopped in amazement at seeing a real-life fashion shoot on the streets of Paris 🙂 They literally squealed.
Finally, Marta wanted to get back into her everyday clothing for some more tourist-style photos.
Once I had processed the gallery, Marta decided to opt for the “All the Best” package so she didn’t have to make tough choices. I don’t blame her. I absolutely adore every shot too.
