Laura’s birthday photoshoot
Laura was my very first birthday photoshoot client in Paris! When she contacted me and explained that she wanted to celebrate her 43rd birthday in a unique and memorable way: I was obviously all on board
Laura originally thought she’d just have a simple birthday photoshoot in Paris, perhaps with a nice new scarf or accessories. However when she learned of my extensive studio wardrobe (including a pair of black stiletto Louboutin) she booked her VIP experience straight away.
The day started with hair and makeup in the hotel by the talented Paris-based, hair and makeup artist Joleen Emory then Laura, and I head off in an Uber to the Trocadero and its famous view of the Eiffel Tower.
First Stop La Tour Eiffel
Well, to be honest, the weather was pretty dismal, but as soon as we stepped out of the Uber we caught a glimmer of light… we literally ran to the stairs as the sun peeked through and we captured a dramatic sunrise – that rain clouds so often produce!
Then we headed around to my favourite spot on Avenue de Camoens. I adore this location with its cobblestone street and a glimpse of the Eiffel Tower in the distance. Laura chose to wear the blush-coloured ballgown and it was the perfect choice as the tones in this dress are perfect for this location.
The next stop was le Pont Alexandre III and we finished the day at the Louvre with these super sexy and femme-fatale-style portraits featuring the famous iron street lamps.
