Rachel is almost like part of my family :)She was there to capture the moment I proposed to my wife - and she was there again when we came back to Paris with our new born 2 years later.100% recommended. A wonderful human being, an extra-class professional.

Rachel was simply amazing! She worked closely with both me and my fiancé leading up to the photoshoot. She helped me set up my proposal and it went over really well. The photos came back quick and all were so good, it was so hard to choose our favorites. We absolutely would recommend you book your next session with her. She was so kind, knowledgeable, and friendly.

Rachel was so kind and accommodating. We were late (it was our 1st full day in Paris and did not allow enough time for transportation). Rachel was there on time; we communicated through text and she was calming and gracious about waiting for us. She made myself and my 17 year old daughter very comfortable. The photoshoot was one of my favorite memories of our trip to Paris! With Rachel we saw the Eiffel Tower, the Seine, and a very cute, very French cafe while she took photos at each location. I would 100% recommend Rachel to another visitor.

I am so pleased with the photos from the shoot that I did with Rachel on my 50th birthday. She is a wonderful photographer and lovely, kind person who I felt completely comfortable with. We took both professional and boudoir photos they exceeded my expectations in so many ways. Her work is beautiful and I am deeply grateful to her for seeing me so deeply. I highly recommend booking a session with her. 🙂

If you work in entertainment as an actor, comedian, or singer; you model; or you’re a creative professional, you know how important having a strong personal brand is. Your brand is what gets you in the door, it’s what makes you memorable, and in many cases, it’s what gets you the jobs you get! The headshot is a key part of this.
Modern Headshot Trends
We’ve all seen traditional headshots. Often they feature the subject head-on, in neutral clothing, and with a semi-serious, intense look on their faces. You may have seen this clean, chic look popularized by big headshot photographers like Peter Hurley of New York. While these headshots will always be in style, creative industries have been moving toward a new type of modern headshot: one that celebrates individuality and a strong personal brand. Photographer Phil Sharp is challenging that traditional headshot standard with his deeply imaginative shots that look almost ripped from editorial magazines. These photos play with lighting composition, posing, and colour in unique ways that celebrate the subject and their personal brand.Headshots as Part of a Personal Brand Strategy
The reason I consider headshots to be such a key element of your personal branding strategy is that they are a great way to capture your point of view in imagery. Plus, what could be more unique to your personal brand than your own face? The way a headshot is captured can say so much about who you are, the kind of work you do, and where you’re going in life. Words on a page can only do so much, and as the saying goes, a picture’s worth a thousand words. How should I prepare for my headshot photo shoot?
Before you head to your headshot photo shoot, you should go through the following short checklist:- Select your outfits. Many suggest that for a working headshot you should stick to solid colours, avoid patterns, and choose tones that flatter your skin and eyes. Don’t forget that your outfits should also reflect who you are as a person!
- Go light on makeup. We want to make sure your blemishes or dark circles are covered, but there’s no need to go overboard on eyeshadow or lipstick. Think about 2 different styles for your hair.
- Think about what you want your photo to “say” about you. I’ll be communicating with you on this, so don’t worry if it’s just a vague idea!
